Total Nigeria Plc sends forth Momar Nguer and welcomes new chairman Stanislas Mittleman

On 9 June 2016, Momar Nguer handed over the position as Total Nigeria Plc’s chairman to Stanislas Mittleman. This was following his appointment as the President, Marketing & Services and member of the Executive Committee of Total Group. In the same vein, Stanislas Mittleman was also appointed Senior Vice President, Africa/Middle East, Total Marketing & Services in April 15, 2016.

During the handover ceremony, Momar Nguer expressed appreciation to the management, staff, shareholders and key stakeholders for their immense contribution to the company’s success and growth in these past years while enjoining their continued support to the new Chairman. Thereafter, Stanislas Mittleman was formally introduced amidst cheers and well wishes by the distinguished audience as he was handed the key of office by his predecessor.

Stanislas began his career in 1987 in the Retail Division of Total France. In 1990 he became the Retail Development Manager in Total Nigeria Plc. He went back to France in 1993 to join the Finance Division in Total Outremer. Between 1994 and 1997, he held the position of Deputy General Manager, in charge of Marketing and Finance in Vietnam LPG Co. He was appointed Managing Director, TotalGaz Philippines in 1997. Between 2000 and 2007 he held various Management positions in France, Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom. In 2008 he was appointed Vice President West Africa, Total Marketing & Services, Africa/Middle East. During this appointment, he was the Chairman of Total Nigeria Plc. In 2012 and 2015 he was appointed Head of M&A and Corporate Planning, Total Marketing & Services, Strategy Division and President, Total Marketing France respectively.

Stanislas Mittleman is a graduate of France’s EDHEC Business School.
