Tell us about your experiences since joining Total
By August 15, 2016, it will be 5 years since I joined Total Nigeria Plc as a Project Engineer (Civil) in the Technical Services Department. As a Civil Engineer, my core mission is to create, improve and protect the environment we operate in. My day to day function involves planning, designing and overseeing construction works and maintenance of building structures and facilities of Total Nigeria Plc.
Ever since joining the company, I have been able to contribute effectively in managing the construction of new service stations which include Ikirun in Osun, Orlu in Imo, Onigbagbo Solar Station in Lagos, Wuse Zone 6 Solar station in Abuja, Court House in Kaduna and Tundun Fulani in Niger, to mention a few that have been reconstructed.
I have also been be part of the team deploying Tair, the new environmentally friendly look of Total service stations. Noticeable among the features of a Tair branded station is the use of LED bulbs and solar panels which help conserve energy. There is also recycling of engine oil and other materials. These could have constituted waste or harm the environment; they are being put to use in other forms to benefit humanity within our eco system.
The successful achievement of projects is ingrained in the internalization of Total core values which are Boldness, Listening, Mutual Support and Cross-functionality.
What can you tell us about yourself? Any interests or hobbies?
I respect and admire selflessness, detest hypocrisy and always willing to learn new things.
My hobbies are playing chess, football and table tennis.
How does your role assist Total, and its commitment to better energy?
My work directly involves the construction of eco-friendly service stations like TOTAL Service Station, Western Avenue and the first solar powered station in West Africa, Total service Station, Onigbagbo. This comes with its resultant environmental benefits of considerable elimination of CO2 emissions.
I am also involved in supporting better energy intervention requests and ensuring design concepts incorporate and conform to Total’s renewable energy ambitions and requirements.
It is better to sit alone than in company with the bad; and it is better still to sit with the good than alone. It is better to speak to a seeker of knowledge than to remain silent; but silence is better than idle words.

I respect and admire selflessness, detest hypocrisy and always willing to learn new things
