A bit of history

On June 1, 1956, TotalEnergies arrived in Nigeria, planting its feet squarely in the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry, and this was closely followed by the arrival of SAFRAP (later to become Elf Petroleum) in 1962.

For the past 66 years, TotalEnergies has continued to demonstrate its commitment to Nigeria, expanding and consolidating it is business and partnerships to become the market leader in both the upstream and downstream sectors.
